Auction Information
All upcoming auctions are listed on the homepage of our website.
You can also view them by selecting ‘Auctions’ from the main menu or by clicking the Euro Auctions logo, which will take you to a list of upcoming auctions from Euro Auctions, Yoder & Frey, and United Auctions across our global network
To view an auction catalogue, find the auction you are interested in from the homepage and click ‘View All Items’. This will take you to the catalogue, where you can browse and filter lots, view item details, and place pre-bids before the auction begins.
Alternatively, you can visit euroauctionslive.com to view any auction catalogues and participate in bidding
Yes. All our catalogues are free for everyone to browse and view online
If you attend an auction onsite and are approved to bid, you will be provided with a bidder book containing the auction catalogue and your bidder details
To search for items, select the auction you wish to view and click ‘View All Items’ to open the catalogue
Within the catalogue, you can use a range of filters to help find specific equipment, including auction ring, lot number, serial number, year of manufacture, usage, category, subcategory, manufacturer, and model
You can also use the search bar at the top of the website to search for equipment. Simply enter a keyword and matching items from across our catalogues will be displayed
The Order of Sale is a guide showing the sequence in which lots are expected to be sold on auction day. It groups lot numbers by category and ring, helping you identify when your desired lots are likely to be sold.
The order of sale is typically published on the website 2-3 days before the auction.
Please note that the Order of Sale does not include specific selling times. As auctions can run at different speeds throughout the day, it is not possible to guarantee when a particular lot will be sold
Each lot listing displays the auction day and ring in which it is scheduled to sell.
When viewing an item, you will see information such as ‘Day 1 – Ring 1’, indicating that the lot is scheduled to sell in ring 1 on the first day of the auction
Some auction sites operate multiple rings over several days, with up to three rings running simultaneously. For this reason, it is important to check the day, and ring assigned to your desired lots to ensure you do not miss them
Auction start times vary depending on the sale and location. The auction start date and time will be displayed on the auction listing, along with the applicable time zone.
You can find upcoming auction dates and start times on the homepage of the website, where key auction information is displayed for each site
To view auction results, sign in to your account and select ‘Past Results’ from the top menu.
From here, you can search and filter results by auction, location, sale period, category, manufacturer, model , and other criteria to help you find the items you are interested in
Auction results are typically published approximately five weeks after the auction has concluded
Yes, past auction results are available online however, you must have a registered account and be signed in to access this information
If you do not already have an account, you can create on free of charge through our website
All auction selling prices can be viewed through our past results section
Sign in to your account and select past results from the top menu. You can then search for an item using filters such as location , category, manufacturer, model , year or lot number
Please note that auction results are typically published around 5 weeks after the auction and a registered account is required to view them
Yes. Customers are welcome and advised to inspect items onsite once the auction yard opens for viewing, which is typically 2-3 days before the auction
Before entering the yard, all visitors must comply with the sites health and safety requirements and follow any instructions provided by staff.
For selected locations, including Leeds, Dromore, Dormagen and Zaragoza, inspections can also be booked online in advance. Click here for information
The location of each auction is displayed on the homepage alongside the auction listing. Under the auction title, you will see the auction location shown in smaller text
Euro Auctions operates 19 permanent auction sites worldwide, with auctions regularly held at these locations. We also conduct offsite auctions, which can take place at various locations around the world. Read more on offsite auctions
The duration of an auction varies by location. Some auction sites operate single-day auctions, while others may run for two or three days
The number of auction days will be displayed on the website, with headings such as Day1, Day2, Day3 along with the corresponding lot numbers being sold on each day
For the most accurate information, we recommend checking the Order of Sale closer to the auction date, as it will confirm the number of days, rings, and lot categories scheduled for that auction
Auction start times rarely change, however, if any changes are made, they will be communicated on the website and where applicable to registered bidders
We recommend checking the website in the days leading up to the auction to ensure you have the latest information regarding auction dates, times, and any important updates
If you enter the auction before it begins, a countdown timer will be visible within the bidding application, allowing you to see exactly when the auction is due to start and whether any changes have been made to the scheduled start time
There are no guaranteed selling times for any lots. While we can provide estimates, actual selling times may vary depending on the pace of the auction and any operational delays on the day
The Order of Sale is the most reliable guide available. It lists categories and their corresponding lot numbers in selling order, allowing you to see approximately when your desired lot is due to be selling
To avoid missing your lot, we recommend joining the auction before the category is due to sell and monitor the auction as it progresses. You may also wish to place a prebid in advance if you are unable to watch the auction live
The local currency of the auction locations will be the primary currency of the sale.
Once bidding begins, the current bid and asking price will clearly display the currency being used. On Dromore and Leeds sites, you can also change your preferred display currency at the bottom of the bidder application to Euro or Sterling.
Please note that all bids are submitted and invoiced in the auction locations primary currency
A Virtual Ring is an onsite bidding area that allows you to watch and bid on the auction taking place elsewhere in the auction site, without having to follow the physical sale around the yard. Virtual Rings are most commonly used for Ring 2 or Ring 3, where lots are typically sold from our auction truck.
A large LED screen displays live images of the current lot, together with the lot number, current bid and asking price. If you wish to place a bid, simply signal to the designated Euro Auctions staff member who will relay your bid directly to the auctioneer. This allows you to bid just as if you were standing at the auction ring.
Simply indicate to the Euro Auctions staff member that you wish to bid. They will relay your bid directly to the auctioneer using a dedicated microphone, allowing you to bid just as if you were standing at the auction ring
Yes. Bids placed through the virtual ring are treated exactly the same as bids made directly in the auction ring.
If your bid is successful, the lot will be sold to you and you will show your bidder book , which will be relayed to the auctioneer. After auction, you will be sent an invoice confirming the lots you successfully won
No. Virtual Rings are currently only available at selected Euro Auctions locations. Where available, signage onsite will direct customers to the Virtual Ring.
Auction Registration & Approval
Registering for an auction is quick and easy. Simply log in to your account, select ‘Register to Bid’, and choose the auction(s) you wish to participate in.
Once your registration has been approved, you will be assigned a bidder number.
Receiving a bidder number confirms that you are successfully registered for that auction
Yes. You must register for each auction you wish to bid in. You can register for multiple auctions at the same time or register individually as required.
Each auction registration is assigned its own unique bidder number, which can only be used for that specific auction
If you are a first-time buyer, a deposit is required before your account can be approved for bidding. Until your account has been approved, you will be unable to place bids. For existing customers, a deposit may be required if you wish to increase your credit limit or if there is an outstanding balance on your account from a previous auction
Once approved, you’ll be able to place pre bids on items and participate in live auctions on auction day.
If you are not approved for a particular auction, this will be displayed when you log in to your account. In some cases, a deposit may be required before approval can be granted
Bidder approval usually takes up to 30 minutes. Please note that approval times may be longer on auctions days due to increased demand from onsite customers
Yes. You can register for an auction at any time prior to the auction, including on the day itself. To avoid disappointment, first time buyers are encouraged to register before auction day, as a deposit may be required and approval times can vary depending on the payment method used
A deposit may be required before you can bid either onsite or online.
All new buyers are required to submit a deposit before participating in an auction. A new buyer is any customer or company that has not purchased from Euro Auctions within the last two years.
This requirement also applies to customers who have previously paid a deposit but did not successfully purchase any lots at the auction
Our methods of payment include:
- Online Payment
- Cash – Acceptable on auction day - subject to Money Laundering Regulations (currencies accepted: Sterling, Euro, Australian Dollars, US Dollars, Dirham)
- Business/Credit/Personal Debit Card – Acceptable on auction day (no transaction fee)
- Bank Transfer – Must be received before a bidder number can be assigned. (Reference example: "BN0000 Leeds April Deposit")
Deposit amounts vary depending on your required credit limit. The minimum deposit is £200, which provides a credit limit of £1,000
You can adjust your credit limit to reflect the amount you intend to spend on the deposits screen.
If you wish to increase your credit limit, an additional deposit may be required. You can add additional deposits through the ‘Auction Registration’ section under ‘My Account’.
For more information on deposit requirements and credit limits, please see Deposits
Yes. Your deposit is held against your card and remains fully refundable, subject to the auction terms and conditions.
If you successfully win an item, the deposit will remain on your account until full payment has been received, after which it will be released back to you
If you do not successfully win any items during the auction, your deposit will typically be returned within one week of the auction ending
Yes. Your credit limit is based on the amount of deposit you choose to provide. If you wish to increase your credit limit, an additional deposit may be required
If you have reached your current credit limit you can make an additional deposit online by selecting the ‘Increase Credit Limit’ button
Navigate to euroauctionslive.com , once logged in and viewing an auction catalogue, your credit limit will be displayed in the top right corner of the page alongside your name, bidder number, credit status and approval status.
On auction day, this information will also be visible within the live bidder application, where you can view your credit limit, current spend, and remaining available credit
Your credit limit may be restricted if there are outstanding balances on your account or if additional documentation is required.
Bidding may also be restricted if you have reached or are close to reaching your current credit limit. To avoid interruption to your bidding activity, we recommend increasing your credit limit before its fully utilized.
Once any outstanding requirements have been resolved, your credit limit can be reviewed and where applicable increased by placing an additional deposit
No. You must have an approved account before you can bid. Where a deposit is required, it must also be approved before bidding access is granted
Your credit limit is the total amount of credit you may spend throughout the auction.
To acquire this credit limit, you may be required to place a deposit which is 20% of your requested credit limit. Applies to new buyers, inactive accounts (2+ years), and bidders who have not completed a purchase.
We ask you to set this credit limit as a personal protection measure for yourself. By setting a credit limit, you can protect yourself from purchasing more than you had intended.
Please note you will not be able to bid above your credit limit. You can request an increase; however, a further deposit may be required.
Being creditworthy does not automatically guarantee bidding approval. You must be registered for the auction and meet any applicable requirements, including deposit requirements where necessary.
Outstanding documentation or unpaid balances may also prevent approval from being granted. Please allow time for our team to review and approve your registration
If you have any questions, please contact accounts@euroauctions.com
Yes, however, we need a letter/email from the director of the company authorising us to allow another representative to bid on your behalf.
You can also place a pre-bid or bid in the auction live online. Both these options require the bidder to be registered for the auction.
No. Your Internet bidder number can only be used for Internet bidding and not as a floor bidder number.
Your Internet bidding number is used internally to identify you as an online bidder and the Internet clerk bids on your behalf.
If you attend the auction in person, you still need to register at the counter and receive your catalogue and bidder number.
Customers approved to bid on site will automatically be approved to bid online using a temporary Bidder Number & PIN printed in their catalogue.
Customers who have registered online with an existing Username will automatically be approved to bid once issued with an on-site bidding number.
Bidding & Buying
Before bidding, ensure you are logged in, registered for the auction, and approved to bid
Select ‘Watch & Bid’ to launch the live bidder application. Select the lot you want to bid on to enable bidding and click the red ‘Bid’ button to place a bid. You can continue bidding until you become the highest bidder, reach your bidding limit, or decide not to bid further
To bid online, you must be logged in , registered for the auction and approved to bid.
Once the auction begins, enter the live bidder application and place bids on the items you are interested in as they are offered for sale
If you are the successful bidder on any items, an invoice will be issued after the auction. Once payment has been received in full, you can arrange collection of your purchases
For a step by step guide , watch our ‘How to bid’ video
A pre-bid allows you to set the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item before the auction begins. Euro Auctions will then bid on your behalf, up to your specified limit, against competing bids both online and onsite.
You can place pre-bids on as many items as you wish up to your credit limit, allowing you to bid without needing to be present during the live auction
To place a pre-bid, locate the item you are interested in within the auction catalogue and ensure you are signed in to your account
Select ‘Pre-Bid Now’ and enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item. Once submitted, you will receive confirmation of your pre bid both on screen and by email
You can place pre-bids on all items throughout the catalogue
Once a prebid has been placed, it cannot be changed. If you wish to increase your bid, you can raise your maximum prebid amount or continue bidding during the live auction
Prebids cannot be cancelled once they have been placed unless at least 24 hours’ notice is given before the auction
However, prebids may be withdrawn closer to or on auction day if there has been a significant change to the lot description or images, or if the item is presented on the auction ramp with issues that were not previously disclosed
If another bidder exceeds your maximum pre-bid before the auction begins, you will receive an email notification informing you that you have been outbid. You can then choose to place a higher bid or leave your existing bid as it is
During a live auction, outbid notifications are not sent by email due to the fast-paced nature of the bidding process.
If your maximum bid is exceeded, you can continue bidding live if you wish. However, you cannot bid against yourself, and any new bid must be higher than your current maximum pre-bid
If you are the successful bidder during a live auction, ‘YOU ARE HIGH BIDDER’ will be shown on the live bidder application followed by ‘SOLD TO YOU’ when the lot closes.
All purchased lots will be listed on the invoice issued at the end of each auction day. This is the final conformation of any successful bids
No. Once a bid has been placed and confirmed it cannot be withdrawn or retracted
If you are the successful bidder on a lot, you are committed to completing the purchase. So, if you do not intend to buy the item, do not click your bid button. This applies to all bids placed on both live and timed auctions.
A choice lot is a group of similar items offered together for the same individual price. The winning bidder can choose to purchase one or more of the available items at the winning bid price
Once you have selected a lot from the group, that selection is final and cannot be changed. However, if additional lots remain available, you may choose to purchase those as well at the same winning bid price.
For example, if the winning bid is £1,000, the successful bidder may choose to purchase multiple lots from the group at £1,000 per item.
Any remaining lots are offered to the underbidder at the same price and if they are not purchased, bidding will be reopened to all bidders
After successfully winning an item at the end of auction day , a pro forma invoice will be issued detailing all lots purchased and the payment information required to complete your transaction. Once payment has been received in full, you can begin arranging collection for your items
Yes. Our bidding platform is designed to work across a range of devices, allowing you to participate in auctions whether you’re at home, in the office, or on the move.
You can access and bid through our website using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer
Yes. Our website and bidding platform can be accessed from anywhere in the world, allowing you to participate in auctions regardless of your location.
Simply log in to your account, register for your chosen auction, and place bids as normal through the live bidder application
To place a bid, your account must be approved, and you must have sufficient available credit. If either of these requirements has not been met, bidding access may be restricted
If you have any issues, please contact us at internet@euroauctions.com
The bid button will remain grey until a lot has been selected. Before you can place a bid, click the tick box beside the lot you wish to bid on. Once selected, the bid button will turn red and become available
The bid button may also remain unavailable if you have insufficient available credit or are not approved to bid in the auction
The asking price is the next bid amount the auctioneer is looking for
For example, if the current bid is £1,000, the auctioneer may ask for £2,000, which then becomes the asking price.
Bid increments vary depending on the value of the lot and may change throughout the auction at the auctioneer's discretion. For this reason, we recommend keeping your audio switched on so you can hear the auctioneer announce the next asking price and any changes to the bidding increments.
The current bid is the highest bid currently held by the auctioneer. The auctioneer will then request a higher amount, known as the asking price, for the next bid
Yes. All bidding takes place live in real time. If an auction is labelled as a ‘Timed auction', or ‘Timed Ring’, lots will still close live but there is no live auctioneer conducting the sale. Instead, all bidding takes place online, with each lot closing automatically when the closing time expires
Yes. When bidding online, you are competing against both bidders in the auction hall and other online bidders from around the world. All bids are received and processed in real time
During a live auction, lots are sold individually, so you can only actively bid on one lot at a time unless the lots are being offered as part of a choice group. However, you can place prebids on multiple lots before the auction begins , giving you the opportunity to bid on several items simultaneously
In a timed auction or timed ring, multiple lots may be open for bidding at the same time, allowing you to place bids on several lots concurrently
Yes, you can bid on multiple rings at the same time
If you’re logged into a single device, you can open multiple rings in separate tabs and place live bids across each ring using the same account
Please note that your account can only have one active bidding session at a time. If you sign in on a second device, you’ll automatically be signed out of active bidding on your original device
No. Only one user can be logged into and actively bidding from an account at any one time.
If a second user attempts to launch the bidder application using the same account, the original bidding session will be closed and transferred to the new session. As a result, two people cannot bid simultaneously using the same account
No. The key to bidding online is to bid based on the value displayed on the bid button.
While the audio is helpful and generally synchronized with your bid button, it's important to focus on the value displayed on your bid button, as this is the amount that is submitted to the auctioneer.
For example, if you click on the bid button when it reads £10,000, you are submitting a bid for £10,000, regardless of what you hear the auctioneer say.
Please note the bidding process is fast paced.
You must enable bidding before you can bid meaning you select the lot you want before you click the ‘bid’ button. When you activate your bid button, you are signalling your intention to bid. If you activate your bid button and then click your bid button, you are submitting an irrevocable bid.
If your bid is accepted, you will see “You Are” displayed in the "High Bidder" field and the message field will display you as high bidder.
Your bid button will also be disabled so you cannot bid against yourself and the text "You Are High Bidder" will be inside the button.
Please note you are not the only person bidding online and another Internet buyer can bid against you
If your bid button becomes enabled again but you see Internet buyer in the high bidder, it is because another online user has outbid you!
If a bidder onsite is successful you will see "Floor" displayed in the "High Bidder" field.
Your bid button will be disabled so you cannot bid against yourself and the text "You Are High Bidder" will be inside the button.
If your bid button becomes enabled again but you see internet buyer in the high bidder, it is because another online user has outbid you!
If a bidder onsite is successful you will see "Floor" displayed in the "High Bidder" field.
Once the amount displayed in your bid button plus the amount of purchases you have made exceeds your credit limit, your bid button is disabled, and your bid status indicator will display "Credit Limit Exceeded"
Once the "Credit Limit Exceeded" message displays, you will not be able to place any more bids until you increase your credit limit by contacting our office or placing a further deposit online

Your bid may not be accepted if :
- You are not approved to bid
- Your credit limit has been reached
- You have not enabled bidding by selecting a lot
- The lot has already been sold

Yes. Our bidding platform is compatible with majority mobile devices, allowing you to participate in auctions from virtually anywhere
No. The Euro Auctions bidding platform runs directly through your web browser and does not require any additional software or downloads.
Methods varies depending on your browser. In most browsers, you can clear your cache through the Settings or History menu. Once cleared, restart your browser and try accessing the website again
For security reasons, users may be logged out after a period of inactivity. Closing your browser or signing in from another device may also end your session.
Only one active bidding session is permitted per account
If you open the bidder application on a second device while already logged in, the original session will be automatically disconnected, and the following message will be displayed - ‘You have been disconnected because you logged in another window or on another device’
As with all technology, the internet is not 100% reliable. From time to time, you may experience internet disconnections while you're logged into the auction. If this happens, re-establish your connection as quickly as possible, and re-launch the live bidding application
If you were actively bidding when you were disconnected and you were the high bidder at that point it is likely that you will be outbid. If not, then the lot will be sold to you.
Timed Auctions
Lots are available for live bidding as soon as the auction opens. You can place bids at any time before or during the auction, and the highest bid at the close of auction wins the lot, subject to the auction terms and conditions.
Simply log in to your account, register for the auction, select the lot you'd like to bid on, and enter your bid. If you're the highest bidder, your bid will be displayed until another customer places a higher bid.
Yes. You can place bids on as many lots as you wish, provided your bids remain within your available credit limit.
Yes. If you're outbid, you can return to the lot and place a higher maximum bid at any time before the auction lot closes.
To give all bidders a fair opportunity to respond, all timed and tool auctions have a time extension after each bid is placed (normally 30-45 seconds). This helps prevent last-second bidding and allows other interested bidders time to place another bid.
If you're the highest bidder on the live closing board, the lot you are watching or bidding on will be flashing orange if you are outbid and green if you are the current highest bidder. The box will stay green until you are either outbid or have won the lot.
Before the auction goes live you can check if you are highest bidder by searching a lot and the words ‘you are highest bidder’ will be displayed
Once the auction has ended, the successful bidder will be notified. Your invoice, issued after the auction, is the final confirmation of all lots you've purchased. If you are the current highest bidder, the lot will stay green until you are either outbid or have won the lot
Yes. Unless otherwise stated, the same payment deadlines, collection requirements and auction terms apply as they do for our Live Auctions
Yes. You'll need an approved Euro Auctions account and must register for the auction before you can place bids.
Tool auctions operate in the same way as our Timed Auctions, with lots available to bid on over a set period of time. The main differences are that Tools Auctions are currently available in the UK and Ireland only, focus primarily on tools and workshop equipment, and do not require a bidding deposit.
Tool Auctions have been designed to make bidding on tools and related equipment as simple as possible. As a result, no bidding deposit is required to take part.

Lot Information
Lot descriptions are provided using the information available at the time of listing. However, they should not be considered a guarantee of the item's condition, specification or suitability for purpose.
We strongly recommend inspecting the item before bidding whenever possible.
Yes. Lot descriptions may be updated before or during the auction if additional information becomes available or if a correction is required.
The most up-to-date information will always be displayed clearly on the lot page with an alert if needed
Lot images are provided to give you a clear view of the item before bidding. Where possible, multiple photographs are taken to show different angles and key features.
Lots may have no images due to them not being in the yard yet, no customer images, or they are awaiting detailing. We aim to have images for each lot uploaded as soon as possible
The number of images available varies depending on the item. While we aim to provide multiple photographs wherever possible, some lots may have fewer images available.
No. Videos are available for majority lots but may not be provided for every single item. We aim to have a demonstration and walkaround video for each machine running. If these are unavailable this will be noted in the description
Some equipment is advertised before it arrives at one of our auction sites. Customer Images allow upcoming lots to be advertised in advance, giving buyers more time to browse the catalogue, research equipment and plan their bidding before the auction begins.
Yes. Once the equipment has arrived at the auction site, the customer images will be replaced with photographs taken by the Euro Auctions team. Where available, a video of the equipment may also be added to the lot listing.
Customer Images are supplied by the seller and are intended to provide an early representation of the equipment before it arrives onsite. Once the item has been received, Euro Auctions will photograph the equipment to provide updated images for the catalogue.
A description alert is an important update added to a lot at any stage leading up to the auction. It may include new information about the equipment, changes to the description, or other details that bidders should be aware of before placing a bid.
Description alerts are displayed on the lot page online and on the onsite bidding kiosks.
A description alert may be added if new information becomes available after the catalogue has been published. This could include corrections to the description, additional equipment details, or other important updates relating to the lot.
In some cases, a pre-bid may be cancelled if a significant change has been made to the lot after your bid was placed.
For example, if important information is added to the lot description, the method of sale changes (such as the lot being sold by photographs only), or another material update is made that could affect your decision to bid, any existing pre-bids may be removed to ensure all bidders have the opportunity to review the updated information before bidding again.
If your pre-bid is cancelled, you'll receive an email explaining that it has been removed due to a change in the lot description or details. If you still wish to bid, simply review the updated lot information and place a new pre-bid or bid live during the auction.
No. As the bidder book is printed before the auction begins, any description alerts added afterwards will not appear in the printed catalogue.
For the most up-to-date lot information, always check the online catalogue or an onsite bidding kiosk before placing your bid.
Yes. We strongly recommend checking the online catalogue or an onsite bidding kiosk for any description alerts before placing a bid. Description alerts may contain important information that could affect your decision to bid.
