Sandblaster and Vehicle Preparation - NI

Euro Auctions conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery on a global basis with sites in the UK, Europe, UAE, Australia, and US. Key Activities: 

• Preparation of stock pre-auction.
• Identify Spraying requirements.
• Strip machines.
• Ensure all vehicles and machinery are refinished to a high standard and fit for sale.
• Undercoats and spraying.
• Rebuilding machines including re-connection of wires and hydraulics.
• Maintain the equipment used for sand blasting such as cleaning and changing nozzles.

The Person:

This role requires an organised individual with excellent problem solving and task management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Sandblasters must be able read and comprehend manuals, inspection checklists, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and other work-related information. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to work outdoors year-round and be physically fit to climb on and off large equipment.

The Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of 1 years sandblasting experience.
• Must be able to hear co-workers, see up close and far away, perceive colour and depth, and have the ability to focus.
• Sandblasters may be required to stand or walk on uneven ground and ascend and descend rail cars or ladders, all of which requires stamina and endurance.
• Experience in spraying with 1PK and 2PK paint
• Experience in Body shop repairs.
• Experience with panel beating and preparation including masking.
• Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation.
• Willingness to work regular overtime during busy auction periods (including weekends)
• Strong English skills.

Desirable Criteria: 

• Experience in surface preparation experience is experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
• Relevant qualification in body shop paint procedures is desirable.
• A Forklift operator's certificate is desirable.
